SHORELANDS SINGLE LIGHT <br />Administrator Balczun reviewed memo from the OMB Director: <br />TO: Members of the Board <br />of County Commissioners <br />DATE: July 19, 1988 <br />SUBJECT: SHORELANDS SINGLE LIGHTS <br />FROM: Joseph A. Baird <br />OMB Director - <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Shorelands Development Company is requesting the installation of two <br />(2) streetlights. The City of Vero Beach Engineering Department has <br />determined that two (2) 27,500 lumen H.P.S. lights_ should be <br />installed. A charge of $16.50 per light is recommended. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the <br />request for a streetlight, contingent upon completion of the following <br />procedure: <br />1. Staff would bill Shorelands Development Inc. $396.00 _ <br />in advance for the cost of two streetlights for a <br />full year. <br />2. Staff would draft a standard single streetlight <br />agreement between Shorelands Development Inc. and <br />Indian River County. <br />3. Staff would add Shorelands Developments two (2) <br />27,500 lumen H.P.S. lights to the Master Streetlight <br />Agreement between Indian River County and the City <br />of Vero Beach. <br />4. By approval of this agenda item, the Board would <br />authorize the Chairman to sign the amendment to the <br />Master Streetlight Agreement and the agreement <br />between Indian River County and Shorelands <br />Development, Inc. <br />Commissioner Bowman noted that "a charge of $16.50 per light <br />is recommended." She asked if that meant $16.50 per light per <br />year. <br />Chairman Scurlock stated that is the electric bill for the <br />light, and he doubted that it would be yearly. <br />It was clarified that it would be a monthly charge, and the <br />cost for the two lights would add up to $396 per year. <br />60 BOOK 73 F1�E •�U� <br />JL �� 19� <br />
