'MODIFICATIONS TO THE SOUTH COUNTY REVERSE OSMOSIS PLANT - WORK <br />AUTHORIZATION AND CHANGE ORDER <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 7/21/88: <br />TO: CHARLES P. McCAIN <br />PROJECTS ENGINEER <br />DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: SOUTH COUNTY REVERSE OSMOSIS PLANT <br />BACKGROUND <br />The South County Reverse Osmosis Plant expansion is currently <br />underway and on schedule. As planned, we are now ready to address <br />several problem areas within the plant, which are above the scope of <br />the on going construction atIthe site. <br />To save money, we are planning to submit this work under a Change <br />Order to the general contractor already on site. <br />ANALYSIS <br />There are two areas of need in the existing plan that we now wish to <br />address. They are as follows: <br />1. Modifications to the high service pumps as outlined in the <br />high service pump study which was authorized by the Board and <br />completed by DSS Engineers, Inc. The engineering services to cover <br />this portion of the change order which involves preparation of plans <br />and specifications, will be covered by approving the attached Work <br />Authorization number 17 for $3,000.00. <br />2. The remainder of this Change Order involves miscellaneous <br />piping and electrical changes within the Plant. The engineering <br />services,.will be covered by approving Work Authorization number 07B <br />for $4,768.00. The exact work break down under this work <br />authorization is attached to this document. <br />:..:.
