� a � <br />Tuesday, August 16, 1988 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, <br />August 16, 1988, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Gary C. Wheeler, Vice Chairman; Richard <br />N. Bird; Margaret C. Bowman; and Carolyn K. Eggert. Also present <br />were Acting County Administrator William G. Collins Il; Charles <br />P. Vitunac, Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; Joseph <br />Baird, OMB Director; and Barbara Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Reverend Don Watkins of Christ Presbyterian Church gave the <br />invocation, and Attorney Vitunac led the Pledge of Allegiance to <br />the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Administrator Collins requested the addition of a discussion <br />regarding the removal of the tower at the old jail site. <br />Administrator Collins also requested that Item 9-A-6 - the <br />application for renewal of Fellsmere Volunteer Ambulance Service <br />Certificate of Public Convenience - be moved to 8-A-4 as it is a <br />Public Hearing and has been advertised as such. <br />Commissioner Eggert requested the addition of a <br />clarification on a new Health Department building. <br />Attorney Vitunac requested the addition of a discussion <br />regarding the final check to former County Administrator Charles <br />BaIczun. <br />BOOK V� <br />AUG 161988 <br />
