DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />Bids were opened Wednesday, August 10, 1988 at 2:00 p.m. <br />for IRC Bid #89-1. <br />8 Invitations to Bid were mailed. 5 Bids were received <br />including 1 No Bid. <br />This bid was advertised in the newspaper. <br />2. ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS: <br />The low bid meeting specifications for Supply and Install Soil <br />Cement Base & Limerock Base was submitted by Pan American <br />Engineering at $2.19 per square yard for Soil Cement and $5.50 <br />per square yard for Lime Rock Base. They have taken no exceptions <br />to our specifications. The yearly expenditures under this contract <br />are estimated at $95,000.00. <br />3. FUNDING: <br />No requisitions are currently being held in the Purchasing Dept. <br />No purchase orders will be issued until our approved requisition <br />is received from the Budget Office. <br />4. ON: <br />Staff recammends that we award this bid to Pan American Engineering <br />and authorize staff to proceed. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Eggert, Chairman Scurlock being absent, <br />the Board unanimously (4-0) awarded Bid #89-1 - <br />Term Contract for Soil Cement & Limerock Base - to <br />the low bidder Pan American Engineering per the <br />following Bid Tabulation, as recommended by staff: <br />4Boor.F11Ir 502AUS 3 198 <br />
