He felt we need to look into this. <br />Commissioner Bird agreed that we need to contact the <br />property owners, and felt that we also should look into addi- <br />tional street lights for the area. <br />Acting Administrator Collins informed the Board that <br />removing unsafe buildings calls for 90 days notice, but we do <br />have the ability to take action in an emergency situation if the <br />owners don't respond, and he would like to bring back a <br />resolution finding that the dealing of cocaine in the area <br />consti-tutes an emergency. We can also work with the Sheriff in <br />identifying the "horse shoe" roads and the areas that need to be <br />underbrushed; we can't abandon roads that would deny access. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Bird., SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, to direct staff. to take the <br />steps discussed above. <br />Vice Chairman Wheeler hoped something could be included in <br />the Motion about pursuing a third phase of the jail, and <br />Commissioner Bird suggested that be dealt with separately. <br />THE VICE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously (4-0) <br />Vice Chairman Wheeler advised that he will get together with <br />the Sheriff to see if something can be worked out on the order of <br />a work camp/stockade type arrangement, and the Board members <br />indicated their agreement with pursuing this. <br />
