DESCRTPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />Bids were received Wednesday, April 13, 1988, at 2:00 p.m. <br />for IRC Bid #423. <br />This bid was advertised in the local newspaper. <br />2. ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS: <br />The low bid meeting the intent of our specifications was <br />submitted by Chemical Pollution Control, Inc., of New York. <br />They have taken minor exceptions to our specifications, <br />which should be waived. Their exceptions were to disposal <br />of scam items, listed in our specifications. They did <br />not quote on these items. All other bidders took similar <br />exceptions. <br />3. FUNDING: <br />purchasing is not currently holding•a requisition to purchase <br />these services. No purchase order will be issued before a <br />requisition approved by budget is received. <br />4. NIDATION: <br />Staff recmnends that award be made to Chemical Pollution <br />Control, Inc. and a contract be negotiated and signed. <br />Commissioner Eggert asked if there had been any changes in <br />the proposed contract during the last week, and Sonny Dean, <br />Director of Solid Waste Management, said there were no changes. <br />Commissioner Bowman advised that she had felt there should <br />be some changes in the contract and took it to the Attorney's <br />Office yesterday, but they were otherwise occupied. She believed <br />that any kinks could be ironed out by today. <br />Attorney Vitunac advised that if there are any significant <br />amendments, the contract would be brought back to the Board. <br />S E P 13 1988 <br />BOOK 4 <br />
