S <br />d, <br />Tuesday, September.27. 1988 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, <br />September 27, 1988, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Gary C. Wheeler, Vice Chairman; Richard <br />N. Bird; Margaret C. Bowman; and Carolyn K. .Eggert. Also present <br />were William G. Collins, 11, Acting County Administrator; Charles <br />P. Vitunac, Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; Joseph <br />Baird, OMB Director; and Barbara Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order, and Commissioner <br />Wheeler led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />The Commissioners congratulated -Mr. & Mrs. Don C. Scurlock, <br />Sr. on their 50th wedding anniversary. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Scurlock requested the additions of an invoice for <br />architectural services on Phase III of the Jail, and a discussion <br />on the County's health insurance contract. <br />Commissioner Eggert requested the postponement of the Town <br />of Orchid discussion for two weeks due to some confusion about <br />EMS and fire service to that community and also water and sewer <br />services. <br />Attorney Vitunac requested the addition of an update on the <br />Charles Balczun matter. <br />BOOK 71 � , ' <br />
