President <br />Chairman Scurlock advised that this item was placed on the <br />Agenda for input from the public, and was not advertised as a <br />public hearing. <br />Shirley Mahalick, 9790 61st Parkway, Breezy Village, <br />presented a petition signed by 63 residents of Breezy Village <br />requesting the County Utility Department to take over and operate <br />the water and sewer plants at Breezy Village. Mrs. Mahalick <br />requested permission to add to this petition the -signatures of <br />winter residents as they return from up north. PETITIONS ARE ON <br />FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD. <br />Bruce Ponnell, 9715 61st Parkway, stressed that they are <br />supposed to have potable water at all times, but they cannot <br />drink the water. They have to bring their water in from other <br />sources. Mr. Ponnell urged the Board to act favorably on the <br />residents' request to have the County Utilities Department take <br />over the water and sewer plants at Breezy Village. <br />Eugene Mahalick noted that he has seen problems with the <br />water and sewer for the 10 years that he has been residing in <br />Breezy Village, but it seems that the feeling was to "let George <br />do it". However George didn't do it either, so the residents <br />have become involved by signing this petition. Some of their <br />complaints are: 1) The water pressure is very inconsistent.
