s <br />PROPOSED ORDINANCE - FIRE DETECTION & SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS CODE <br />The hour of 9:05 o'clock A.M. having passed, the Deputy <br />Clerk read the following Notice with Proof of Publication <br />attached, to -wit: <br />VERO BEACH PRESS -JOURNAL. <br />Published Daily <br />Vero Beach, Indian River County, Florida <br />COUNTY OF INDIAN RIVER: STATE OF FLORIDA <br />Before the undersigned authority personally appeared J. J. FIRE SUPPRESSION N SPTING YSTEMS CRE ODE FOR ALL <br />r INDIAN RIVER COUNTY.to appeal any need 1 <br />whichwho may <br />which may be made at this meeting <br />ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedr i <br />Ings is made, which includes testimony <br />dente upon which the appeal 1 <br />September 18,1988 •,gist'- 4, <br />County Attorney Vitunac explained that the Fire Chief has <br />requested this as an answer to the false alarm problems he has <br />been having with fire detection systems, and this would require <br />anyone with such a system to have it checked once a year. <br />Commissioner Eggert noted that this says they will be <br />punished according to the law and wished to know just what the <br />law says. <br />County Attorney Vitunac explained that violation of a county <br />ordinance would be the generic fine of $500 or 60 days in jail. <br />There is no false alarm penalty.
