He pointed out, however, that <br />NOAA has given Conte! the exclusive right to be the provider of <br />this service. He also noted that he already has funds budgeted <br />for the other service which is costing a similar amount of money. <br />Vice Chairman Wheeler wished to know if we would have <br />unlimited use of the service, and Director Wright confirmed that <br />it is available 24 hours a day. <br />Commissioner Bowman asked about a service charge. <br />Director Wright noted that we have a warranty period, and <br />Acting Administrator Collins stated that if we go with the lease <br />plan, they provide the maintenance. <br />Commissioner Bird asked if this system would provide some <br />information not presently available through the National Weather <br />Service and Director Wright confirmed that it will.
