Proclamation - Youth Manor Week <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by Commis- <br />sioner Bowman, the Board unanimously (4-0) designated <br />the week of October 24th through October 28th, 1988, <br />YOUTH MANOR WEEK. <br />PROCLAMATION <br />WHEREAS, Yguth Manor is a community based group home <br />serving abused, neglected, and disturbed youths ages 10-17 years; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, youths are. referred to the program for a <br />variety of reasons including persistent behavior which would be <br />considered counterproductive to society; and <br />WHEREAS, Youth Manor is staffed by highly trained <br />professional Family Teachers, along with two full-time <br />assistants; and <br />WHEREAS, Youth Manor successfully trains critical <br />skills in academics, personal maintenance, family relationships, <br />and vocations to its students; and <br />WHEREAS, appropriate behavior such as that taught at <br />Youth Manor is critical for a successfully functioning community; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that October 24th' <br />through October 28th, 1988 be designated as <br />YOUTH MANOR WEEK <br />and calls upon all citizens, schools, businesses, clubs and the <br />news media to commemorate the role of Youth Manor in our <br />community. <br />Dated this 4th dday.of October, 1988. <br />OCT 4 19 8 <br />8 <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COPMIISSIONERS <br />INDIAN'RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />Don C.
