Coals for Fiscal Year 1988-1989 <br />1. Expand.canopy on Miracle Mile Boulevard. <br />2. Complete a Vegetative inventory of the county, Identify major <br />forest areae and types fo vegetation present. <br />3. Complete a Canopy Analysis of the City of Vero Beach. <br />4. Develop a nature study trail at Donald McDonald Park. <br />3. Continue working with county staff on revisions of landscape, <br />ordinance. <br />6. gold Annual Seedling sales. <br />7. Work with the City of Vero Beach to continue its tree city <br />standing. <br />8. Continue to assist local schools. and Furture Farmers of <br />America in environmental education. <br />9. Planting trees in the interstate right-of-way. <br />3. Seed collection for Division of Forestry Nurseries. <br />4. Increase activities and assistance with county officials and <br />staff. <br />2. Plan for street tree servey. <br />Commissioner Eggert was looking forward to working with Mr. <br />Elder on the main library site with regard to the many Targe <br />trees on the property. <br />Chairman Scurlock welcomed Mr. Elder on board, and commended <br />the Urban Forester program for its excellent improvements to this <br />community. <br />PROPOSED ANNEXATION BY THE TOWN OF ORCHID <br />Chairman Scurlock announced that this item was left on the <br />Agenda for the purpose of giving an update on the matter. Two <br />letters were received late yesterday afternoon: <br />1) A letter from McQueen & Associates, Inc. dated 10/10/88 re <br />the Windsor Polo Club; and 2) A letter from Attorney Bruce <br />Barkett of Collins, Brown & Caldwell dated 10/5/88, notifying the <br />Clerk of the Circuit Court that the Town of Orchid recently <br />enacted an ordinance to annex a parcel of property pursuant to a <br />petition filed by the property owner. <br />L OCT 1 1 <br />988 <br />15 <br />Boor <br />74 F 1 r,L 459 <br />
