Commissioner Bird wasn't sure what the difference was <br />between the requirements for the CARL program and the <br />requirements for the Save Our Coasts program, and wished to see <br />this item tabled until further information can be brought back to <br />the Board. <br />Attorney Vitunac advised that Assistant County Attorney <br />Sharon Brennan was told last week by the DNR that CARL and Save <br />Our Coasts were out of money, but Administrator Collins pointed <br />out that CARL has earmarked certain funds for a priority list, <br />and believed that Indian River_County is 16th on that list. <br />Referring to a map of the county's coastline, he pointed out <br />which parcels the State and the County have acquired and those <br />parcels that still are in private ownership. <br />Commissioner Bird still felt that we need to get <br />clarification from the State as to the requirements of the CARL <br />program in regard to the future responsibilities for that land. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved <br />Alternative #2 to refer the parcel to the State for <br />possible purchase under the CARL program with further <br />information to be brought back to the Board on the CARL <br />program. <br />OFFERS TO SELL PROPERTY TO COUNTY NORTH OF ADMINISTRATION COMPLEX <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 10/5/88: <br />OCT 111988 <br />40 BOOK 74 P'G.l <br />
