Analysis: 15$ higher than cost of library site. 385$ higher than <br />comparable small lot sales (see attached memo from Don Finney <br />dated 12-8-88). Purchase is highly desirable to complete <br />Library/Courthouse Complex site acquisition. <br />Recommendation: Negotiate reasonable price or condemn. <br />3. Baptist Church Lots <br />Summary: $200,000 <br />Analysis: No information provided as to area, price, etc. oral <br />communication only. No contact for followup. Price reputedly <br />above appraisal. Potential to use parking jointly. <br />Recommendation: None. Request BCC and staff input. <br />Commissioner Bird questioned the location of the properties <br />listed under Recommendation #3, and Chairman Scurlock offered to <br />make it clear to staff which lots we are talking about as he felt <br />he knew where everything was located over there. He suggested <br />that Administrator Collins talk with Reverend Hill and Deacon <br />Howard from First Baptist Church regarding these 3 lots. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously approved <br />Recommendations #1, #2 and #3, as set out in the <br />above memo. <br />VISTA PROPERTIES REZONING <br />Administrator Collins recalled that at the meeting of <br />September 6, 1988 there was discussion by several members of the <br />Board that they would like to see a rezoning from CL to OCR on <br />the front commercial part of the old McKee Jungle Gardens site, <br />which had been rezoned to one-half residential and one-half <br />commercial. However, after that discussion ended, everyone <br />began rising from their seats to take a break, and when he asked <br />the Commissioners if we needed a Motion on their interest in <br />going from CL to OCR, he was told that he had the direction of <br />44 <br />OCT 11 1988 <br />tool( 74 PAF 488 <br />
