RESOLUTION NO. 88- 102 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PROVIDING FOR: <br />SPECIAL ASSESSMENT FOR LINE EXTENSIONS FOR THE <br />fiOCUTOCE—ARRA—SARTTAR4—SEWER—SYST -- <br />-TE:P.A. PROJECT—ET onM 'EO) <br />DESTCRATED-As-PROJECT-05=t7=bg-CCS <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County has determined that the improvements herein <br />described and, to defray the cost thereof and in connection <br />therewith, the special assessments against the properties <br />hereinafter described, all of which relate to Project No. <br />US87-08-CCS, are necessary to promote the public welfare of <br />the county, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: <br />1. The . County does hereby determine that line <br />extensions shall be installed to approximately 422 <br />properties designated on the assessment plat with respect to <br />the special assessments, and the cost thereof and in <br />connection therewith specially assessed in accordance with <br />the provisions of §11-42 through §11-47, of the Code of Laws <br />and Ordinances of Indian River County. Provisions of the <br />U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Grant, Project <br />No. C120502060 shall also apply. <br />2. The total estimated cost of the above-described <br />improvements is shown to be $1,621,107, but the total cost <br />has been reduced by state and federal grants in the amount <br />of $1,093,607, resui,;ing in an assessed cost of $527,500 <br />($1,250 per unit) to be paid by the property specially <br />benefited. <br />3. A special assessment in the amount of $1,250 shall <br />be assessed for each of the 422 properties designated on the <br />assessment plat. <br />4. The special assessments shall be due and payable <br />and may be paid in full within 90 days after the date of the <br />resolution of the Board with respect to credits against the <br />special assessments after completion of the improvements <br />(the "Credit Date") without interest.
