Commissioners Eggert and Bowman repeated and added to the <br />Motion on the floor as follows: <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissione-r Bowmari,•-to adopt Resolution 88-121 accept- <br />ing the Comprehensive Bikeway & Sidewalk Plan as the <br />County's official plan with the amendment of a jog from <br />16th Street to Route 60 along King's Highway and then <br />continue west to 1-95 and also to direct that the priority <br />list continue to be re -reviewed by the Bikeway Committee <br />in view of the really specific needs in different areas. <br />Commissioner Bird wished to know just what we have pro- <br />grammed this year, and Director Keating explained that in this <br />plan everything was programmed realizing that budgeting had <br />already occurred for the present fiscal year. <br />Public Works Director Davis reported that this week we are <br />about 50% complete on the sidewalks to Highlands Elementary <br />School and are moving fairly quickly on the 8th Street sidewalk <br />from 43rd Avenue to Glendale along with the improvements at that <br />intersection. The other project under way is the CR 512 project <br />which is in engineering, and there will be a bike path along that <br />project. Also, tomorrow he is going to Atlanta to talk to the <br />EPA about Phase III of the Boulevard Extension; there will be 4' <br />shoulders on both Phase 111 and IV, but that won't be implemented <br />this year.
