BOOK 75 PAGE 334 <br />Commissioner Bird continued that there is a second range, an <br />interim range for the Sheriff's Department on the old stump dump. <br />The Sheriff needs a range desperately, and they would like to see <br />us proceed to develop that range for their people to use at least <br />on an interim basis, and possibly the public could get some use <br />of it on a supervised basis. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Eggert, the Board unanimously authorized <br />staff to ask SJRWMD to consider making the subject <br />property west of 1-95 available to the county for <br />the ultimate firearm's range site. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Eggert, the Board unanimously directed <br />the Director of Public Works to come up with a cost <br />estimate for preparing an interim firearm's range <br />on the old Stump Dump site at 8th Street and bring <br />it back to the Board. <br />NORTH COUNTY COMMUNITY LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION GRANT <br />Commissioner Eggert reviewed the following memo which she <br />believed is self-explanatory: <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Commissioner Carolyn K.
