1. <br />DEC 6 1988 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 88-129 certifying that the library will <br />available to the public on a non-discriminatory <br />basis and that the County Library System is operated <br />as a department under the control of the Board of <br />County Commissioners. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 88- 129 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY. FLORIDA, TO <br />THE STATE OF FLORIDA CERTIFYING •THAT THE COUNTY <br />OPERATES A PUBLIC LIBRARY SYSTEM AS A FUNCTION OF <br />COUNTY GOVERNMENT. <br />WHEREAS,Indian River County has applied for a grant <br />from the State of Florida for the development of Its library <br />system; <br />WHEREAS, one df'the conditions of the library grant Is <br />that the County provide documents showing that the library <br />Is a public facility; and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River'County has chdsen to provide a <br />public Ilbrary funded by taxes •raised through the General <br />Fund under the Board of County <br />Commissioners, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, that: <br />1. This resolution certifies that Indian River County <br />provides'•a public library available, to ..the residents of <br />Indian River County on a non-discriminatory basis funded <br />from'ad valorem taxes raised under the General Fund of the <br />Board of County Commissioners of Indian Rlver•County. <br />2. Thls resolution further certifies that the Indian <br />River County. Library System Is operated as a department <br />under the control. of the Board of County Commissioners <br />acting through Jts County Administrator. <br />The resolution was moved. for adoption by Commissioner. .% <br />Eggert , and,the'motion was .seconded by <br />Commissioner <br />Wheeler and; upon being, put ' to a vote, the vote was as <br />follows: <br />Chairman Don C.
