Tuesday, December 20, 1988 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, <br />December 20, 1988, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Gary C. Wheeler, Vice Chairman; Richard <br />N. Bird; Margaret C. Bowman; and Carolyn K. Eggert. Also present <br />were William G. Collins, II, Acting County Administrator; Charles <br />P. Vitunac, Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; and <br />Virginia Hargreaves, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Reverend David Lord, Trinity Episcopal Church, gave the <br />invocation, and Commissioner Bowman led the Pledge of Allegiance <br />to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Scurlock asked that Item 9B - Main Library Contract <br />- be deleted from today's agenda as it was handled previously. <br />The Chairman then asked that the following items requested <br />by Community Development staff be added to the Consent Agenda as <br />Items 68 and 6C: <br />6B. Extension of Grand Harbor Contract to guarantee completion of <br />approved estuarine system. <br />6C. Partial Release of Letter of Credit for Sandpointe <br />Subdivison. <br />Attorney Vitunac informed the Board that the Property <br />Appraiser brought in a matter which must be handled today or we <br />miss one full year.
