JAN X989 <br />ma 75 F4 518 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89 - 1 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CLERK OF THE <br />COURT TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THE STATE <br />BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION AND TO TRANSMIT <br />COUNTY FUNDS TO THE STATE BOARD OF <br />ADMINISTRATION'S INVESTMENT POOL. <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County from time to time has <br />funds on hand in excess of current needs; and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens of <br />Indian River County that funds be invested in such a manner <br />as to yield the highest return possible consistent with <br />proper safeguards for the handling of government funds, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: <br />1. Jeffrey K. Barton, Clerk of the Court of Indian <br />River County, Florida, is hereby designated custodian of <br />County funds and authorized to transmit such funds to the <br />State Board of Administration, or invest such funds in such <br />a manner consistent with the best interest of the citizens <br />of Indian River County and pursuant to the directions of the <br />Board of County Commissioners. Furthermore, the Clerk is <br />authorized to withdraw funds from the State Board of <br />Administration or other investment account in the name of <br />Indian River County by giving timely notice together with <br />confirmation by letter executed by the clerk and the Budget <br />Officer or other County employee designated by the Board of <br />County Commissioners. <br />2. This authorization shall be continuing in nature <br />until revoked by the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners. <br />The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner <br />Eggert who moved its adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Scurlock and, being put <br />to a vote, the vote was as follows: <br />73a <br />
