street be used eitherfor parking or for a promenade connecting <br />the new courthouse to the new library. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, that the Board authorize <br />Commissioner Eggert to request that the City of Vero <br />Beach approve the closing of 22nd Street between 15th <br />and 17th Avenues. <br />Under discussion, Commissioner Bird asked if we have a map <br />or a drawing of what we are planning there, and Commissioner <br />Eggert advised that the architect for the library will have a <br />plan soon. <br />Commissioner Bird stated that he would vote for the Motion, <br />but would like to see them come back to the Board with its <br />intended use. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. The Motion <br />was voted on and carried unanimously. <br />COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS/REAPPOINTMENTS <br />After reviewing the list of committees and incumbents to <br />those committees, the Board approved their reappointments by one <br />Motion, with the exception of the Planning & Zoning Commission, <br />where Commissioner Scurlock suggested readvertising for a <br />representative of District 3. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bowman, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously <br />reappointed the incumbents of the committees as <br />set out in the following list, with the exception of <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission for which they <br />directed staff to readvertise for a representative of <br />District 3. <br />84 <br />LJAN 3 1989 <br />MI 75 f'.{, E 529. <br />
