JAW 10 X989 <br />BOOK <br />FACE 588 <br />Commissioners themselves are present to ask for these things, but <br />suggested that his office also prepare a formal Resolution <br />setting out the matters discussed. <br />Commissioner Scurlock felt it would be appropriate if the <br />Chairman were at the meeting to present the Resolution. <br />Chairman Wheeler stressed his desire to continue to empha- <br />size the need for more state prisons and asked that be added to <br />the Resolution. <br />Commissioner Bird thought we would want to renew our support <br />of the replacement of the Barber Bridge and stress just how <br />critical that is. It was noted that there are two bridges <br />proposed to the south of us that have higher priorities and <br />agreed that we must keep stressing our urgent need. <br />Commissioner Scurlock brought up the possibility of being <br />able to participate up front with the DOT and loan money for the <br />bridge project with repayment at a later date. Hopefully this <br />would move us up on their list of priorities. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Eggert, the Board unanimously authorized <br />Chairman Wheeler to attend the meeting of the Legis- <br />lative Delegation and present a Resolution to be <br />prepared by the Attorney's office with input from <br />each of the Commissioners. <br />REPORT ON FARBER LAWSUIT AGAINST THE COUNTY <br />Attorney Vitunac reviewed the following, which was submitted <br />for information purposes: <br />56 <br />
