Collins <br />Acting County Administrator <br />Bob Komarin <br />Director of lf <br />DATE: December 20, 1988 <br />FILE: <br />i) SUBJECT: <br />Alarm Contract Name Change <br />REFERENCES: <br />Sonitrol of Vero Beach, Inc., has terminated its franchise agreement with <br />Sonitrol Corporation and Sonitrol Southeast. Accordingly, Sonitrol of <br />Vero Beach, Inc., will carry on business as usual under the name of <br />Alarm Specialists of Vero -Beach, Inc., and will continue to provide <br />us with all monitoring, maintenance and sales. <br />Enclosed is a copy of our current contract along with a copy of our new <br />contract for your approval. If you have any questions please feel free <br />to contact me at 567-9081. Thank you. <br />Administrator Chandler explained that this firm also provides <br />monitoring services for the administration building and the <br />warehouse, but staff did not get those contracts to the Board <br />today. He asked if the Board would feel comfortable in approving <br />those contracts today since it only involves a name change. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved <br />the monitoring contracts with Alarm Specialists of Vero <br />Beach, Inc., and authorized the Chairman's signature, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />CONTRACTS ARE ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />• <br />24 <br />
