CHANDLER <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />FROM: H.T. "SONNY" DEAN, DIRECTOR <br />DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BID NUMBER 89-45; <br />CARE TAKING OF SOD FARM <br />BACKGROUND <br />The subject bid was presented to the Board on Tuesday, January 10, <br />1989 with a recommendation for approval as submitted. Commissioner <br />Bird requested that personal contact be made with three (3) vendors <br />who indicated they may want to bid and did not get notification on <br />the original advertisement. <br />The following vendors were contacted by telephone with the results <br />as indicated: <br />1. Riverside Garden Center - The advertised telephone had been <br />disconnected. This writer was unable to make contact. <br />2. Triple L Sod - Their home office is in Belle Glade and they were <br />unable to service the account at this time. <br />45 <br />
