allocating $20,000 of the Florida Boating Improvement Program <br />(FBIP) for paving improvements to MacWilliams Park located east <br />of the Indian River, north of Beachland Blvd. The City has added <br />site lighting to the project and is requesting an additional <br />$9,650 from the FBIP funds. The balance of the fund as of <br />Jan. 13, 1989 is $131,788.90. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The Parks and Recreation Committee considered this item during <br />its regular Jan. 12, 1989 meeting and approved the request. <br />Staff has no objection to the request, however, the Parks and <br />Recreation User Fee and Revenue Study previously approved by the <br />Board in May, 1988, did allocate the FBIP revenue for certain <br />river access projects listed in the Capital Improvement Program. <br />RECOMMENDATION AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends that the Board approve FBIP funding in the <br />amount of $29,650 for the MacWilliams Park paving and lighting <br />improvements. <br />Attorney Vitunac inquired if the $131,000 balance of these <br />funds was set aside in Tallahassee for our use if we have a good <br />project, and Director Davis confirmed that it was. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously <br />approved FBIP funding in the amount of $29,650 <br />for the MacWilliams Park paving and lighting <br />improvements, as recommended by staff. <br />58 <br />JAN 2 41999 <br />Roor 15 FACE 706 <br />
