JAN <br />BOOK 75 <br />FACE 7;u <br />FIREFIGHTERS FAIR AGREEMENT <br />Commissioner Bowman asked if this agreement had been <br />reviewed by the Risk Manager, and Attorney Vitunac advised thafj <br />Mrs. Tillman provided the liability requirements and added some <br />liability requirements on cars. The County will have fire and <br />liability coverage of $500,000 per person and $1 -million per' <br />accident, which is just for the firefighters themselves. The <br />firefighters are required to have the Strates Amusement Company <br />carry a $1 -million to $5 -million liability policy. In addition, <br />the County is co-insured. He felt the County is covered. <br />Commissioner Bowman stated that she was satisfied if <br />Attorney Vitunac was satisfied, and Attorney Vitunac said he <br />would make sure that the agreement is run by Mrs. Tillman again <br />to make sure that her name is on it before the Chairman signs it. <br />Attorney Vitunac pointed out that Commissioner Bird has <br />raised the ante that the County gets this year from $5,000 to <br />$9,000. Every year we are getting a little more, and every year <br />we are getting a better handle on what is going on. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously accepted <br />staff's recommendation to approve the Firefighters Fair <br />Agreement, and authorized the Chairman's signature. <br />AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD - <br />REPORT ON GIFFORD COMMUNITY CENTER <br />Commissioner Bird believed that they made a wise choice to <br />have Dr. Hudson as administrator of the center, and felt he has <br />done an outstanding job up to this point. <br />The Center had 20 activities scheduled in January; 21 <br />already scheduled for February, and 16 for March. In addition, <br />they have worked out a rent agreement with the community college <br />77 <br />
