"SONNY" <br />EAN, DIRECTO <br />DEPARTMENT OFDGENERAL SERVICES <br />CAPPELEN BUILDING FOR HEALTH DEPARTMENT <br />SUBJECT: <br />BACKGROUND <br />As per instructions this writer met with Mr. Cappelen on Wednesday, <br />January 25, 1989 to negotiate the price of hid building for use as <br />space for the Health Department operations. <br />ANALYSIS <br />Attached is the offer to sell the entire building with two other <br />alternatives for leasing. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff request instructions from the Board as to which direction <br />should be taken. <br />January 26, 1989 <br />Indian River County <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />1840 25th Street <br />Vero Beach, Florida 32960 <br />Attention: Sonny Dean <br />Dear Mr. Dean: <br />As per our telephone conversation yesterday afternoon, I am offering <br />my property to the County for $ 230,000.00. <br />As an alternative to the purchase of the property, I will lease the <br />entire building to the County for $ 2,500.00 per month on a five year <br />lease. <br />If the County does not accept either of these options, I will continue <br />renting to the County the space you now occupy for $ 750.00 per month <br />or the two spaces south of the bread store for a total of $ 1,400.00 <br />per month. <br />I will expect to hear from you as to the commissioner's decision <br />after their meeting on January 31, 1989. <br />Thank you for your time. <br />Sincerely, <br />111111.
