ROGEL <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Eggert, the Board unanimously authorized <br />the Chairman to execute the Release of Liens listed <br />above. <br />COPIES OF SAID RELEASES ARE ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF CLERK TO THE <br />BOARD. <br />PRESENTATION OF F.I.N.D. FUNDS FOR WABASSO CAUSEWAY <br />Joe Earman, representing the Florida Inland Navigation <br />District, came before the Board to make a presentation of <br />matching funds for the Wabasso Causeway. Mr. Earman advised that <br />Indian River County, being in such an endangered ecological area <br />and in the narrows of the Indian River, gets back from F.I.N.D. <br />about four times the money they pay in taxes. In the two last <br />years, the county paid a little over $300,000 in taxes and got <br />$1,200,000 back. Mr. Earman then listed various things F.I.N.D. <br />has done for Indian River County, i.e., given the County an extra <br />marine patrolman completely equipped with truck, car and boat; <br />11 <br />FEB 71989 <br />KOOK. 76 Pa 11 <br />
