US -89 -01 -CCS <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On December 20, 1988, the Department of Utility Services brought a <br />proposed Developer's Agreement to the Board of County Commissioners <br />for a sewer force main project in two phases: <br />1. Phase I will run from Grove Isle on U.S. Highway #1 to <br />Wal-Mart, at the intersection of U.S. Highway #1 and <br />Indian River Blvd. <br />2. Phase II will run from Wal-Mart, at the intersection of <br />U.S. Highway #1 and Indian River Blvd., up Indian River <br />Blvd. to the City of Vero Beach Wastewater Treatment <br />Plant. <br />The design of Phase I is underway by the developer's engineer. We <br />now wish to proceed with the design and construction of Phase II of <br />this project. <br />60 <br />
