E. Modification #1 to Highway Safety Grant <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 2/21/89: <br />TO: Members of the Board <br />of County Commissioners <br />DATE: February 21, 1989 <br />SUBJECT: MODIFICATION # 1 <br />TO HIGHWAY SAFETY GRANT <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />FROM: Joseph A. BairdIT <br />OMB Director <br />Indian River County received a Highway Safety Grant in the <br />1987/88 fiscal year from the State of Florida Department of <br />Community Affairs for the Indian River County Sheriff to perform <br />traffic services. The Sheriff only utilized $159,483.40 of the <br />$166,888.00 grant allotment. The Department of Community Affairs <br />is requiring a Grant Modification # 1 be approved by the Board of <br />County Commissioners reducing the grant by $7,404.60 to <br />$159,483.40. <br />RECON NENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approved <br />Modification # 1 decreasing the grant by $7,404.60 to <br />$159,483.40. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved <br />Modification #1 to the Highway Safety Grant, decreasing <br />the grant by. $7,404.60 to $159,483.40, as recommended <br />by OMB Director Baird. <br />F. Resolution to Governor and Legislature Relating to Funding <br />Problems of the Florida Dept. of Transportation <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 89-22 to the Governor and the Legislature <br />relating to funding problems of the Florida Dept. of <br />Transportation (DOT). <br />nOOF .76 <br />FAU 2 <br />25 <br />5 <br />FEB 2 8 1989 <br />
