Davis, P.E. <br />Public Works Director <br />FROM: Michelle A. Gentile, C.E.T. <br />Civil Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Final Assessment <br />1) 22nd Avenue from 1st St. SW to 2nd St. <br />and 2nd St. from 21st Ave. to 22nd Ave. <br />2) 1st St. SW from 20th to 21st Ave. <br />3) 126th St. (Havenview Dr.) Roseland Road <br />to 79th Ave. <br />DATE: February 3, 1989 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The paving of the above roadways have been completed. <br />Listed below is a comparison of the preliminary estimate and the <br />final costs to the homeowners by street. It is noted that all <br />construction costs are under the original estimates: <br />Prelim. Est. Final Cost <br />1) 22nd Avenue <br />100% $48,810.00 <br />75% $36,606.00 <br />2) 1st St.SW <br />100% $ 4,976.48 <br />50%* $ 2,488.24 <br />3) 126st St. <br />100% $62,970.00 <br />75% $47,228.46 <br />$34,795.45 <br />$26,616.52 <br />$ 4,578.42 <br />$ 2,334.99 <br />$38,348.01 <br />$29,336.23 <br />*1st St. SW is a secondary collector road and Property Owners are <br />assessed 50% <br />The final assessment roll has been prepared and is ready to <br />be delivered to the Clerk to the Board. Assessments are to be <br />paid within 90 days or in two equal installments, the first to be <br />made twelve months from the due date and the second to be made <br />twenty-four months from the due date at an interest rate of 12% <br />established by The Board of County Commissioners. The due date <br />is 90 days after the final determination of the special <br />assessments. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />Since the final assessment to the benefited owners will be <br />less than computed on the preliminary assessment rolls, the only <br />alternative presented is to approve the final assessment rolls. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />It is recommended that the final assessment rolls for the <br />paving of the above mentioned roads be approved by The Board of <br />County Commissioners and that they be transferred to the Office <br />of the Clerk to the Board for collection. <br />56 <br />
