There are four (4) property owners <br />involved in the Right -of -Way acquisition for this project, they <br />are willing to settle as follows: <br />1) Jehovah's Witnesses PARCEL #103 - Donating the additional <br />property. 6' additional Right -of -Way 261 square feet <br />2) Church of God PARCEL #104 - 15' additional Right -of -Way <br />3,385 square feet. Settlement $5,000. $1.48 square foot <br />3) S. Gutowsky PARCEL #101 - 13' X 6' Additional Right -of -Way <br />4,530 square feet. Will donate if relocate Sago palms. <br />4) H. Thomas PARCEL #102 - 13' x 6' additional Right -of -Way <br />4,130 square feet. Settlement $6,195. $1.50 square foot <br />Alternatives and Analysis <br />The alternatives are as follows: <br />Alternative #1 <br />Settle with the four (4) property owners as detailed above. <br />A total Right -of -Way acquisition cost is $11,195.00, and the <br />County would agree to relocate Sago Palm trees on Parcel <br />#101. <br />Partial taking appraisals in 1987 were $1.10 square foot for <br />property purchased at 8th Street and 27th Avenue. <br />Alternative #2 <br />Obtain appraisals for the four (4) parcels at an approximate <br />total cost of $3,000.00. Once appraisals are received (60 <br />days minimum), offer all property owners the appraised <br />value. <br />Recommendation and Funding <br />In lieu of additional expenses <br />fees and condemnation costs, <br />purchase and settle the above <br />in the amount of $11, <br />#101-156-541-067.19, Zone 6 <br />balance in account is $150,000. <br />for appraisals, possible attorney <br />staff requests authorization to <br />real estate transactions. Funding <br />195.00 to be from Account <br />Traffic Impact Fees. (Current <br />00) . <br />Director Davis informed the Board that there has been a <br />change in the staff's recommendation. It was anticipated that <br />Parcel #101 would be donated, but since the memo was written, <br />that has changed. In lieu of donation, the Gutowskys would like <br />to sell the R/W for $1.50 a square foot, or a total of $6,795. <br />Chairman Wheeler asked if we still would have to relocate <br />the palm trees on that parcel, and it was stated that we would <br />not have to. <br />AR V 1989 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bird, the Board unanimously authorized <br />staff to purchase and settle the real estate trans- <br />actions listed with the change in the Gutowsky Parcel <br />#101 per the above discussion. <br />36 <br />L1OO1. 7G Fact .33f3 <br />
