ORDINANCE NO. 89- 10 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, ADOPTING A SPECIAL SURCHARGE <br />RATE FOR THE PROVISION OF WATER AND <br />SEWER SERVICES BY THE INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY UTILITIES DEPARTMENT TO THE <br />CUSTOMERS IN THE AREA FORMERLY SERVED BY <br />THE BREEZY VILLAGE SEWER AND WATER <br />COMPANY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by Indian River County, acting through <br />its Board of County Commissioners, that: <br />SECTION 1. SURCHARGE ESTABLISHED <br />There is hereby established a special surcharge on the <br />monthly water utility bill of the customers of the former <br />Breezy Village Sewer and Water Company franchise territory <br />which surcharge shall not exceed an additional $15 per month <br />per equivalent residential unit (ERU) over and above the <br />County water and sewer utility rate. <br />SECTION 2. SURCHARGE LIMITS <br />The surcharge shall be in effect until the acquisition <br />costs of the purchase of the Breezy Village Sewer and Water <br />Company have been recouped. <br />SECTION 3. BEGINNING DATE <br />•The surcharge shall begin in April for bills rendered on <br />or after April 1, 1989. <br />Approved and adopted by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, on this 14th <br />day of March , 1989. <br />This ordinance was advertised in the Vero Beach Press <br />Journal on the 21st day of February 1989 for a <br />public hearing to be held on the 14th day of March <br />1989, at which time it was moved for adoption by <br />Commissioner Scurlock seconded by Commissioner <br />Eggert <br />UR 141989 <br />, and adopted by the following vote: <br />23 <br />Poor 76 Du <br />
