Tuesday, March 21, 1989 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, <br />Tuesday, March 21, 1989, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Gary <br />C. Wheeler, Chairman; Carolyn K. Eggert, Vice Chairman; Richard <br />N. Bird; Margaret C. Bowman; and Don C. Scurlock, Jr. Also <br />present were James E. Chandler, County Administrator; Charles P. <br />Vitunac, Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; Joseph <br />Baird, OMB Director; and Virginia Hargreaves, Deputy Clerk. <br />Chairman Wheeler called the meeting to order, and Adminis- <br />trator Chandler led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Wheeler asked that the following items be added to <br />the agenda: <br />1.) Discussion on Main Library as Item 8A. <br />2.) Schedule Joint City/County Meeting on Utilities as Item 8B. <br />3.) Discussion on RFP for Solid Waste Recycling Plan (CDM) as <br />Item 9G(4). <br />Commissioner Bowman wished to add under her matters a <br />discussion on the possibility of creating a manatee sanctuary by <br />county ordinance. <br />MR 2 11989 <br />11 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Scurlock, the Board unanimously added the <br />above items to the agenda. <br />BOOK .76 ;-n.393 <br />
