PROPOSED DATE FOR CITY/COUNTY MEETING ON UTILITIES <br />Administrator Chandler advised the Board that he would like <br />to change the date for the proposed Joint City/County Meeting to <br />discuss Utilities from March 30th to the second or third week in <br />April. City Manager Little has indicated that if the Commission <br />would give him one or two dates, he would take them to the City <br />Council. <br />Some discussion ensued regarding various dates. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Eggert, the Board unanimously agreed upon <br />the date of Thursday, April 20th at 9:00 A.M. for a <br />Joint City/County Meeting on Utilities. <br />PURCHASE OF ADDITIONAL A/C FOR HOBART TOWER EQUIPMENT BUILDING <br />The Board reviewed memo from the Director of Emergency <br />Management: <br />TO: James Chandler <br />County Administrator <br />DATE: March 13, 1989 FILE: V <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Purchase of <br />Additional Air Conditioner <br />for Hobart Tower Equipment <br />Building <br />FROM: Doug Wright, Director REFERENCES: <br />Emergency Management Services <br />It is respectfully requested that the information contained herein <br />be given formal consideration by the Board of County Commissioners <br />at the next regular scheduled meeting. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The air conditioner utilized at Hobart Tower is in excess of four <br />years of age and has run around the clock for this period of time. <br />The air conditioner is required to maintain the level of humidity <br />and keep the electronic equipment associated with various radio systems <br />on Hobart Tower at a constant temperature to extend the life and <br />prevent maintenance expenses.
