ROOK <br />Fr,F47 <br />B. The amount of Solid Waste disposed of at Solid <br />Waste Disposal Facilities, by type of waste such <br />as yard trash, white goods, clean debris, tires, <br />and unseparated Solid Waste. <br />C. The amount and type of materials from the Solid <br />Waste Stream that were recycled; <br />D. The percentage of the population participating <br />in various types of recycling activities <br />instituted; <br />E. The percent reduction each year in municipal <br />Solid Waste disposed of at Solid Waste Disposal <br />Facilities. <br />F. A description of the recycling activities <br />attempted, their success rates, the perceived <br />reasons for failure or success, and the <br />recycling activities which are ongoing and most <br />successful; and <br />G. In its first report, a description bf any <br />recycling activities implemented prior to July <br />1, 1989. <br />6. 407.708 F.S. (15) In accordance with the following <br />schedule, no person who knows or who should know of the <br />nature of such Solid Waste shall dispose of such Solid <br />Waste in landfills: <br />A. Lead acid batteries, after January 1, 1989. <br />B. Used oil after October 1, 1989. <br />D. White goods, after January 1, 1990. <br />7. 403.751 (C) No person may mix or commingle used oil with <br />Solid Waste that is to be disposed of in landfills, or <br />directly dispose of used oil in landfills in Florida. <br />8. Section 41 (3) On or after July 1, 1989: <br />B. It is unlawful for any person to dispose of <br />waste tires in the State, unless the waste tires <br />are disposed of for processing, or collected for <br />processing, at a permitted Solid Waste Disposal <br />Facility, a waste tire site which is an integral <br />part of a permitted waste tire processing <br />facility, a permitted waste tire processing <br />facility, or a waste tire collection center. <br />C. Waste tires may not be deposited in a landfill <br />as a method of ultimate disposal. <br />9.. DER Contract No. HW80: <br />A. Indian River County is responsible for entering <br />into a 2 year contract with a licensed, insured <br />private company that will be responsible for <br />collecting hazardous wastes and assuring the <br />delivery of these wastes to a permitted <br />recycling, storage, disposal or treatment <br />facility. <br />36 <br />
