Mascola, CPO Manager <br />Division of Purchasing <br />SUBJ: IRC Bid No. 89-53 <br />Railroad Ties <br />BACKGROUND <br />The subject bid for Parks Division was properly advertised <br />and three (3) Invitations were sent out on March 15, 1989. <br />Bids were received and Two (2) firms submitted proposals for <br />the project. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />Staff has reviewed the submittals to ascertain adherence to <br />specifications. Florida East Coast Railroad was the low bidder <br />and met all requirements. <br />FUNDING: <br />Monies for this project will come from Account No#001-210-572-066.39 <br />Total budgeted funds is $75,000.00. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the award of a Fixed Contract for $3,600.00 <br />to the low bidder Florida East Coast Railroad. <br />6 <br />
