Masco a, CPO Manager <br />Division of Purchasing <br />SUBJ: IRC BID#89-49 <br />New 1989 Heavy Duty Dump Truck <br />BACKGROUND <br />The subject bid for Solid Waste Division was properly <br />advertised and twenty one (21) Invitations were sent out <br />on Feb. 13, 1989. Seven (7) Bids were received for the <br />above proposal. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />Staff has reviewed the submittals to ascertain adherence to <br />specifications. The third bictPr, Remo Truck was the <br />responsive and responsible bidder to meet all the specifi- <br />cations. <br />pecifications. The two lowest bidders did not meet specifications. <br />FUNDING: <br />Monies for this project will cane frac Account Number <br />#411-27-534-066.43.. unds of V 62,976.00 were approved for <br />x1 <br />pure se of this equipment. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the award of a fixed contract for $62,976.00 <br />to Renco Truck. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Eggert, the Board unanimously approved the <br />award of Bid 89-49 for a 1989 Heavy Duty Dump Truck <br />for the Solid Waste Division to Remco Truck Sales in <br />the amount of $62,976.00 per the following Bid Tabu- <br />lation as recommended by staff. <br />10 <br />
