Tuesday, May 2, 1989 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, <br />May 2, 1989, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Gary C. Wheeler, <br />Chairman; Carolyn K. Eggert, Vice Chairman; Richard N. Bird; <br />Margaret C. Bowman; and Don C. Scurlock, Jr. Also present were <br />James E. Chandler, County Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, <br />Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; Joseph Baird, OMB <br />Director; and Virginia Hargreaves, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />David C. Lord, Pastor, Trinity Episcopal Church, gave the <br />invocation, and County Attorney Vitunac led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Wheeler advised that he wished to add the following <br />items to the Agenda: <br />1) Discussion of Joint City/County Meeting proposed to be held on <br />May 18th to be added under the Administrator's matters as 8A. <br />2) Two Resolutions needed for the closing on the FmHA loans to <br />be added under the County Attorney's matters as 10B. <br />3) Request by Supervisor of Elections for Resolution opposing <br />House Bill 1529 and Senate Bill 499 to be added under <br />the Chairman's matters as 12A (1). <br />4) Request by Commissioner Eggert to add a report on the <br />Volunteer Ambulance Squads under her matters as 12B (2). <br />Commissioner Bird advised that he wished to add a report on <br />the South County Park under his matters, and Commissioner <br />Scurlock wished to add under his matters discussion re scheduling <br />a workshop with the Sheriff to go over his budget numbers. <br />SAY 21999 <br />P10QK v-11 U FACE �1 c <br />
