BOOK <br />Commissioner Bird commented that in addition to the <br />appraisal, he would like to see more definitive numbers and plans <br />as to restoration costs, a maintenance plan, fundings, etc. <br />Administrator Chandler confirmed that is part of the whole <br />study, and he felt comfortable that staff can give the Board the <br />full picture by June 13th. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously (4-0) <br />Commissioner Bowman being absent. <br />SURPLUS PROPERTY <br />The Board reviewed memo from CPO Dominick Mascola: <br />DATE: April 26, 1989 <br />TO: BOARD OF COUNTY COW4ISSIONERS <br />THRU: James E. Mascola,,CCPO Manager <br />Division of Purchasing <br />SUBJ: SORPUJS PROPEEN <br />BACKGROUND: <br />i The Property attached herewith, from Various Departments, has <br />been declared Surplus to the needs of Indian River County. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />Staff reccmTends the authority be granted by the Board of County <br />Commissioners to declare surplus and authorize a sale of the <br />attached list. <br />E i' 0,002u o M • <br />A Surplus Property Sale open to the public will be held as per <br />State Statutes. The Seal Bid method, advertised in the local <br />newspaper will be offered indicating sale to the highest bidder. <br />A review of Surplus Equipment will be scheduled for all departments <br />to reclaim any Surplus Items, prior to advertisement for sale to <br />the Public. Items not sold at the sale will be offered on a in- <br />dividual basis to interested parties. <br />FUNDS: <br />The monies received from this sale will be returned to the <br />General Fund. <br />28 <br />
