Engagement Letter between IRC and_Attorney for Condemnation <br />Work on Indian River Boulevard <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 5/17/89: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney <br />DATE: May 17, 1989 (dictated 5/16/89) <br />RE: ENGAGEMENT LETTER BETWEEN INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY AND ATTORNEY FOR CONDEMNATION <br />WORK ON INDIAN RIVER BOULEVARD <br />At the May 9, 1989, meeting of the Board of County <br />Commissioners the�Board approved having the County Attorney <br />hire a condemnation lawyer to assist with the eight <br />condemnation parcels on Indian River Boulevard. Pursuant to <br />thatauthorization, I am enclosing an Engagement Letter from <br />the Attorney and request permission to initial the contract <br />on behalf of the County. <br />The letter is attached and in general calls for an hourly <br />rate of, $125.00. (This is the same favorable rate given by <br />that firm to Broward County, for which that firm does much <br />litigation work.) <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Scurlock, the Board unanimously (4-0), <br />Commissioner Bird being absent, approved the <br />Engagement Letter between IRC and the law firm <br />of Blackwell, Walker, Fasceli S Koehl for <br />condemnation work on Indi-an River Boulevard, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />I <br />COPY OF SAID AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK <br />TO THE BOARD <br />18 <br />
