MAY4,9� <br />BOOK 76- PAGE 946 <br />Chairman Wheeler believed it is to be used for improvements at <br />Riverside Park. <br />OMB Director Baird confirmed that it is for two restrooms <br />and formal parking at the Center for the Arts and the Theatre <br />area. These are capital improvements out of District #1 funds. <br />Commissioner Scurlock asked why the Arts Council is the <br />prime receiver of the funds other than the City of Vero Beach and <br />the Chamber of Commerce, and the Chairman explained that these <br />monies must be spent for tourist -oriented functions and benefits. <br />E <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Eggert, the Board unanimously (4-0) approved <br />the recommendations of the Tourist Development Council <br />as set out above. <br />NORTH COUNTY AND SOUTH COUNTY FIRE DISTRICTS <br />The Chairman announced that immediately upon adjournment, <br />the Board of County Commissioners would reconvene acting as the <br />District Board of Fire Commissioners of the North Indian River <br />County Fire District and upon adjournment of that meeting would <br />thereupon reconvene acting as the District Board of Fire <br />Commissioners of the South Indian River County Fire District. <br />Those Minutes are being prepared separately. <br />There being no further business, upon Motion duly made, <br />seconded and carried, the Board adjourned at 11:40 o'clock A.M. <br />ATTEST: <br />Clerk <br />64 <br />Chairman <br />
