The State Road Department is authorized and <br />empowered to construct and maintain said road and is hereby <br />directed to take over, at once, the maintenance of that part <br />of said road between LaBelle and Everglades." <br />Provided that the construction on the aforesaid Road shall <br />begin as soon as possible when that stage of construction has <br />been reached on Roads 1 to 5 inclusive, 8 and 17, 19, 5A, 10, <br />11, 13, 15, 20, 28 and 47, when labor and equipment may be <br />transferred from the roads mentioned in this proviso that will <br />not delay the construction of such roads mentioned in this <br />proviso. <br />1145 <br />Chap. 13898 <br />1931 <br />Section 2. That the number of said road be and the same Number <br />changed from <br />is hereby changed from Number 26A to Number 164 and 26-a, to No. <br />shall be named and called the 'Bob Bentley Highway". This Act shall take effect upon the approval of <br />the Governor or upon its becoming a law without such <br />approval. <br />Approved- June 26, 1931. <br />CHAPTER 15648—(No. 48) . <br />AN ACT Designating, Declaring and Establishing as State <br />Roads Certain Highways in Indian River County, Florida. <br />Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: <br />Section 1. * That the certain highways located in Indian <br />Designation <br />River County, Florida, the road beds 'of which are now exist- <br />of <br />high raysnln <br />Ing, described as follows, to -wit: that certain Highway known <br />Indlan River <br />count as <br />as Emerson Avenue from intersection with the South bound- <br />w ysgh- <br />a.y line of Indian River County and then running north to <br />the intersection of said Emerson Avenue with State Road No. <br />30 in Indian River County; <br />Also, that certain road located in Indian River County com- <br />monly known as King's Highway running from the south <br />boundary line of Indian River County; thence in a northerly <br />1146 LAWS OF FLORIDA <br />r;ChaD:. -,direction to the point that said King's Highway intersects <br />with State Road No. 4 near the City of Sebastian, Florida; <br />Also, that certain road located in Indian River County and ' <br />known as Lateral A from the point that said Lateral A road <br />intersects with the _paved .Highway 'commonly known as Oslo <br />road; thence running north to the point that said Lateral A <br />' road connects with a road running east and west which. said <br />point is at the Common Corner of Sections 29, 30, 31, and 32, <br />Township 31 South, Range 39 East, Indian River County, <br />Florida; , <br />Also, that certain .road located in Indian River County run- <br />ning from Lateral A road to the highway now existing on the <br />peninsula lying between the Indian River and Atlantic Ocean <br />in Indian River County; <br />Also, that certain -highway running from the paved high- <br />way now existing between the. City of Sebastian and Fells - <br />mere, Florida, in a southerly and easterly direction through <br />the City of Wabasso, Florida, and thence to the highway now <br />existing on the peninsula in said county lying between the <br />Indian River and Atlantic Ocean thence along said highway <br />in a southerly and easterly direction to the bridge across the <br />Indian River to the City of Vero Beach and thence westerly <br />through the limits of said City to State Road No. 30 known <br />as Osceola Boulevard; <br />68 <br />
