includes software and hardware. Their maintenance hours are from <br />7 am to 10 pm 6 days a week, and 10 am to 7 pm on Sundays. CSLI <br />has 4 systems in operation and we talked with those people. The <br />oldest user of CSLI is 14 years. <br />Director Dean felt the important difference between the two <br />firms is megabyte storage. Dynix has proposed a 930 megabyte <br />storage, and CSLI has proposed 1042 megabyte storage which is <br />estimated to give us about 30% expansion for our library system. <br />Dynix' proposed cost is $270,522, and CSLI's cost is $243,315, a <br />difference of $27,207. Dynix maintenance costs are $2,550 per <br />month, and CSLI's cost is $2,375, a savings of $175 per month. <br />Director Dean stated that after making all of these calls, <br />staff stands with their original recommendation of CSLI. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously approved <br />staff's original recommendation as set out in the above <br />memo. <br />Commissioner Bird asked the status of the bidding on the <br />North County Library, and Director Dean advised that the bids <br />will be opened on July 19, 1989. <br />MASTER PLAN CONSULTANT FOR COURTHOUSE/JUDICIAL COMPLEX <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 6/30/89: <br />I <br />
