BACKGROUND: <br />The Subject Bid for Traffic Signal Egui�t was properly <br />advertised and Seven (7) Invitations to bid were <br />sent out. On July 31, 1989, bids were received. <br />Seven (7) Vendors submitted proposals for the ccmrodity. <br />2. ANALYSIS: <br />Staff has reviewed the submittal to ascertain adherence to <br />specifications. See Memorandmn Enclosed. These were the <br />lowest bidders that met all requirements. <br />3. FUNDING: <br />Requisitions will be done on as needed basis and funding will <br />be verified by the Budget Office. <br />4. REOO244ENDATION: <br />Staff recammends the Asgard of a Open End Contract. The initial <br />' Contract period shall start with the date of the Award and shall <br />terminate one (1) year frcan that date and to authorize the Purchasing <br />Manager to renew the contract for an additional one year subject <br />to satisfactory performance, vendor acceptance and det�ernination <br />the renewal is in the best interest of the County. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by Commis- <br />sioner Scurlock, Commissioner Bowman being absent, <br />the Board unanimously (4-0) awarded under Bid #89-76 <br />an Open End Contract for Traffic Signal Equipment to <br />the low bidders as indicated on the following Bid - <br />Tabulation: <br />16 <br />
