Chairman Wheeler felt the fee should be waived in a case like <br />this where someone would have to wait a substantial time for the <br />land development regulations to be redone, especially since there <br />are a number of cases like this. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Scurlock, the Board unanimously directed <br />staff to look at this ordinance amendment and bring <br />it back to the Board, and waived the $500 application <br />fee for Sandra Holland. <br />CANCELLATION OF TOWER SPACE LEASE WITH FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS <br />COMMISSION <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 8/2/89: <br />DATE: AUGUST 2, 1989 <br />TO: JAMES E. CHANDLER <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR <br />FROM: DOUG WRIGHT, DIRECTOR <br />EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: CANCELLATION OF TOWER SPACE LEASE <br />`.iTITH FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION <br />It is respectfully requested that the information contained herein be <br />given formal consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at <br />the next regular scheduled meeting. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />On June 14, 1988, the Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners approved a Tower Space Lease for antenna space on <br />Hobart Tower for the Federal Communications Commission. The lease <br />provided for antenna space at 390 foot level at the rate of $180.00 <br />per month or $2,160.00 annually. The Federal Communications <br />Commission has requested that the lease be terminated and cancelled <br />effective June 29, 1989. <br />.:u, �. �iLTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS: <br />The cancellation is requested due to budget restrictions as stated in <br />,-%the letter received from the Federal Communications Commission on <br />10, 1989.
