Commissioner Bowman advised that she did not attend that <br />particular workshop, but they did have a representative in <br />Tallahassee a couple of weeks ago. <br />Mr. Keifer pointed out that there are some items in the <br />management plan that the Governor and Cabinet are going to hear <br />on Sept. 14th that he was particularly concerned about, <br />especially some policies on having one boat slip or one parking <br />space at boat ramps for every hundred linear feet of shoreline. <br />He felt that could put a real damper on the extension of your <br />boat ramps and any future boat ramps, because those policies <br />would be in place until the county develops marina siting <br />criteria and manatee protection plans. Unfortunately, the State <br />has not given us the tools or the guidelines to do that yet. <br />Attorney Vitunac introduced Warren Dill, an attorney he had <br />worked with in Palm Beach County, and explained that Attorney <br />Dill was responsible for writing the first traffic impact fee <br />ordinance in the state. <br />There being no further business, on Motion duly made, <br />seconded and carried, the Board adjourned at 8:10 o'clock P.M. <br />ATTEST: <br />Clerk <br />AUG 2 11989 19 <br />Chairman <br />
