A public hearing on the proposal will be held on Monday, August <br />21, 1989 at 6:00 p.m. in the County Commission Chambers of the <br />County Administration Building, located at 1840 25th Street, Vero <br />Beach, Florida. At this public hearing the Board of County Commis- <br />sioners will consider authorizing the transmittal of the County's Com- <br />prehensive Plan to the State Department of Community Affairs for their <br />review. The proposed ordinance is entitled: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />ADOPTING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN CONTAINING THE <br />FOLLOWING ELEMENTS: FUTURE LAND USE; TRAFFIC CIR- <br />CULATION; MASS TRANSIT; PORTS, AVIATION AND RE- <br />LATED FACILITIES; HOUSING; SANITARY SEWERS; <br />POTABLE WATER; SOLID WASTE; DRAINAGE; AQUIFER RE- <br />CHARGE; COASTAL MANAGEMENT; CONSERVATION; REC- <br />REATION AND OPEN SPACE; INTERGOVERNMENTAL <br />COORDINATION; CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS; ECONOMIC - <br />DEVELOPMENT; ADOPTING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP; <br />AND PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY AND <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Interested parties may appear and be heard at the public hearing re- <br />garding the proposed Comprehensive,Plan Amendment. <br />The plan may be inspected by the public at the Community Devel- <br />opment Department offices located on the second floor of the County <br />Administration Building located at 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Flor- <br />ida, between the hours of 8:30 a.m, and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays. The <br />plan may also be inspected during regular hours at the Fellsmere, <br />Sebastian and Vero Beach public libraries. <br />Copies of the plan map and policies are available to the public at the <br />Community Development Department. <br />This public hearing will be continued on Wednesday, August 23, <br />1989 at 9:00 a.m. and may be continued to Thursday, August 24, 1989 <br />at 9:00 a.m. and Friday, August 25, 1989 at 9:00 a.m. if necessary. <br />Anyone who may wish to appeal any decision which may be made at <br />this meeting will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceed- <br />ing is made which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the <br />appeal will be based. <br />
