He <br />believed that through a men's golf association and a ladies' golf <br />association, we could accomplish some of the things that people <br />desire through memberships, such as organized activities, <br />handicaps, events, comradery, etc. <br />Commissioner Scurlock emphasized that our bond convenants <br />require that revenue source to be there, so you would have to set <br />appropriate rates to cover your debt service. <br />Chairman Wheeler asked those people who wished to be heard <br />in this matter to come to the podium and give their name and <br />address. <br />The following people spoke in support of establishing a <br />membership system at Sandridge Golf Club and presented data and <br />financial estimates while expressing their opinion that the <br />County would be well served by having a membership system at the <br />public golf course. <br />Harold Djorup <br />Lou Maglione <br />John Kotch <br />Bill Moriarity <br />Sam Alia <br />Ruth Mead <br />and an unidentified gentlemen <br />Dick Schuler and Ken Cougar presented arguments against <br />having a membership system at Sandridge, and urged the Board to <br />continue with the daily fee basis. <br />16 <br />S <br />
