They will have an entrance <br />building and facilities in that for exhibits and things like <br />that. <br />Mr. Haeger advised that there are at least two or 3 artesian <br />wells which will be used to keep the water in the little ponds <br />along the entrance to the gardens and the little streams that run <br />along the trails. There are also places for waterfalls, and all <br />that rock work is still there. Mr. Haeger felt they probably <br />would need some sort of irrigating system to water the plants <br />when they are first planted, but the moisture is very good in <br />there and it probably won't take much. <br />There being no others who wished to be heard, Chairman <br />Wheeler closed the Public Hearing. <br />Attorney Vitunac read aloud from the Standard for Real <br />Estate Transactions which is part of the purchase agreement: <br />Item #E - "Ingress & Egress Seller warrants and represents that <br />there is ingress and egress to the Real Property sufficient for <br />the intended use as described in Paragraph VII hereof title to <br />which is in accordance with Standard A." <br />Commissioner Bird wanted more assurance than that, and <br />Attorney Vitunac recommended the wording in the following Motion. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, that the Board ratify the contract <br />as already signed by Administrator James Chandler with <br />the addition of amendment regarding the right to public <br />access to all the parcels the County is buying. <br />Under discussion, Commissioner Scurlock stated for the <br />record that he felt we are paying too much for these properties, <br />but emphasized that this was no reflection on the negotiations by <br />Administrator Chandler who had to work within very tight <br />parameters. <br />W <br />
